SOLD OUT FOR 2010

Buy your first 'nuc' of honey bees from Norfolk Honey

Honey bees for sale 2010. Beginners starter package.

I believe those who are just starting out and taking up bee keeping for the first time should be offered a special deal that is not only good for them, but also good for the honeybees as well.

Beginners. This is a special package just for you - and the bees!

These are the first bees that I will be supplying in 2010. The bees and the equipment will be ready for collection from Norwich during the last week of April.

My April offer consists of a nuc of honeybees plus a queen rearing course and the necessary equipment for you to breed two new colonies with laying queens before the winter 2010/2011 arrives*.
*Using the NBKA's valuation for a hive of honey bees the total value to you in 2011 will be over £1,000

This is what I will supply:

• One five frame nuc of bees on Standard National DN4 Hofman self spacing frames = £185 -- read more
• Two Standard National brood boxes with made up undrawn DN4 Hofman self spacing frames (one with the nuc) £60 each = £120
• Two stainless steel open mesh floors with entrance block £30 each = £60
• Two crown boards with central feeder hole £10 each = £20
• Two flat roofs £35 each = £70 Please see my labled equipment photograph
• Two plastic 'rapid' feeder buckets £5 each = £10
• One new plywood nuc box (sometimes called a traveling box) with made up undrawn DN4 Hofman self spacing frames = £50.
• My online course Queen Rearing for Beginners = £80.

Total above £595

Given that you understand the basics of bee keeping then queen rearing is not difficult to do and all you need is the extra equipment ready in advance (as supplied above) plus clear instructions and telephone support.

I am limiting the number of orders that I will take for this offer to 10 (on a first come first served basis).
I have sold all ten now - this offer is closed for 2010
